Periodontal disease, injury or tooth decay can cause the loss of your natural teeth. However, we can bring back your smile with dentures to replace your missing teeth.

With improved technology and updated materials, we can now make dentures appear more natural and feel more comfortable for the patient.

There are two types of dentures:
Complete dentures
Partial dentures

Complete Dentures

A complete denture is a removable appliance that is inserted in the mouth, replacing natural teeth and providing support for the cheeks and lips. This is one of the treatment options when all teeth in either the upper or lower arches are missing.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures replace multiple missing teeth in one arch and are held in place with metal clasps. In some cases these clasps can be positioned out of sight a Precision Partial.

Both dentures and partials are removable. The teeth are made of acrylic resin and are processed to a support base of gum colored high-strength plastic.

How Long Do Dentures Last?

Over a normal course of time, dentures will wear and need to be replaced or relined in order to keep the jaw alignment normal. The fit will slowly change as the bone and gum ridges recede or shrink due to the extraction of the teeth. Regular dental examinations are still important for the denture wearer so that the oral tissues can be checked for disease or change.

Today an alternative to traditional dentures involves dental implant placement. When a series of implants are secured to the bone under your denture future bone loss is prevented. A secure fit, without the need for denture adhesives, is a true benefit enhancing your daily life!
