Our four Registered Dental Hygienists bring over sixty years of combined professional experience. All bring clinical expertise with a gentle touch along with a commitment to partnering with patients in order to achieve excellent oral health.
A native of Atlanta, Karen, with over twenty years at Colony Square Dental Associates, is a member of our team of Registered Dental Hygienists. She prides herself in working with her patients to ensure their smile is a ‘happy, healthy one’. And when patients are in need of care she is on hand to help explain their needs. She is a graduate of Clayton State College and the University of Georgia. When not busy with her patients Karen is on the ‘run’ in many Atlanta events and with her team of joggers. She also enjoys traveling and the latest movies.
Originally from Columbus, GA, Michelle joins our team with five years of dental hygiene experience. As a military brat, she lived in Germany for approximately eight years during her adolescence. Then graduated here in the US from Columbus Technical College in 2014. Shortly after, she attended undergrad at Columbus State University. There she cheered co-ed. Michelle still enjoys participating in cheer and dance, in fact. And it is in her plan to travel back to Germany soon!
Julia is a newer face at our office, but she is not new to dentistry. In fact, she has been in the dental field since 2015. She attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center-Memphis campus, where she graduated as valedictorian with a Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. Julia enjoys being social with her team members and the patients at our practice. She finds that one of the best parts of being a hygienist is interacting with people of all backgrounds, really getting to know them, and educating them about their oral health. She prides herself on going above and beyond to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible. Julia has been married to her wonderful military veteran spouse for 15 years, and together, they have a beautiful son. In her spare time, she loves cooking, being able to spend time with her friends and family, and volunteering at her son’s school. She has a great love for animals, especially dogs. “Adopt don’t shop.”
Our three Certified Expanded Duty Assistants not only offer an extra pair of hands to help our dentists, they are also available to answer questions, help review home care instructions following procedures and offer the TLC that our office is known for.
An Alabama native, Ezel moved to Atlanta in 1987. She is approaching her 20th anniversary as a loyal assistant, with Expanded Duties certification, to Dr. Hochberg and all patients at Colony Square Dental Associates. With her longevity in the practice she has built close relationships with patients and understands their dental healthcare needs and concerns. To Ezel, it’s “her pleasure” to ensure each visit is the best experience possible for the patient. Cooking, traveling and spending time with close friends and family are a few things she enjoys in her spare time.
Our Expanded Duties dancing assistant, also known as ‘K2’, welcomes her patients with a big smile and a dance. She has been an assistant for over 20 years, 8 of those in our practice. She says that a beautiful smile gives a person confidence and makes such a difference in how they feel about themselves. “It is very rewarding to be a part of that experience”. Originally from Fort Myers, FL, (go Gators!) her pride and joy are her 3 sons and her passions include working with her church, sports and reading.
With ten years as a valued member of the CSDA team, Sharlene has over 20 years of experience in dental assisting. Valuing continuing her education, she has obtained certification as an Expanded Duties assistant in Georgia. She’s on hand to help her patients be comfortable during procedures, assist the doctor and ensure all questions are answered, with her wonderful southern accent and charm, before her patients leave. Her goal is to help patients maintain beautiful, healthy smiles. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, sports – Go Braves!! – and spending time with family.
Hailing all the way from the “First State” Delaware, Coreisha has been living in Georgia for 9 years. With more than twenty years of customer service experience, she has brought her charisma to CSDA since 2012. Married to her husband of 13 years, they have beautiful 2 children together. Their son is age 10 and loves to read, play basketball and hang out with his friends. Their daughter is a busy 3-year-old ray of sunshine. Coreisha serves as a member of the PTA board at her son’s school. She loves to shop, roller skate and spend time with her family. CSDA is truly her home away from home.
A Georgia-peach original, Kayla is a familiar face at CSDA. With seven years of hospitality experience at Chick-fil-A, she will always tell you it’s “her pleasure” to assist you. She wears many hats in the practice, but is most known for heading our local marketing outreach, social media platforms, and blogging efforts. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for crowds, shopping, and volunteering at her son’s elementary school.
Returning to Atlanta after spending fifteen years in the Midwest, Sharon loves being back home in the South. Bringing over a decade of medical administrative and customer service experience to Colony Square Dental Associates, she looks forward to making sure our patients receive excellent service at every turn. Sharon shares our strong values of being part of the community and making our patients feel like family. In her time away from the office, Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband of 34 years, pampering her cat, reading and visiting her children in California and Cambodia.
A native of Georgia, Tiffany has been servicing the dental field for over 10 years. After graduating with a degree in Health Studies from Albany Technical College, Tiffany then went on to pursue her career as a dental assistant. 8 years ago Tiffany transitioned from dental assistant to front office assistant. Her skills gained during that time make her a wonderful addition to the CSDA family. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her children and traveling. Her favorite trip was her recent visit to Dubai.
