One Simple Pill. Complete Relaxation.

For patients who desire a deeper level sleep, a sedative sleeping pill (benzodiazopan family) can be prescribed prior to your procedure.

This option is ideal for patients undergoing longer procedures. Due to its amnesic effect patients typically remember little or none of the treatment.

The medication used for oral conscious sedation is taken 30-60 minutes prior to the procedure. Once this medication has been taken, the patient cannot operate a motor vehicle for a minimum of 12 hours. Therefore, a driver is necessary for your dental appointment.

Your doctor will review your medical health history and your current list of medications to ensure that there are no contradictions for this type of medication.
